HP Owns H3C, TippingPoint, Proliant, and 3Com - HP Bought
3Com for $2.7 billion in 2010
 In 2010, HP bought 3Com for
approximately $2.7 billion. HP-3Com combine HP's ProCurve LAN
edge products with 3Com's enterprise security, core switching
and routing offerings. Both HP and 3Com strengths reside in
Asian markets. HP’s 3Com acquisition will mean domination in
China’s IT market share, a highly-valued strategic asset. 3Com’s
portfolio brings core networking infrastructure technology to
HP, and 3Com technologies will bring strength to its data center
switching solutions. In addition to 3Com’s core and edge
routing, 3Com will offer its threat management, intrusion
prevention, and data center security solutions to HP.
3Com's H3C Network Equipment

H3C has a full series of networking products and solutions, and
achieved great success in China market. After HP’s acquisition
of 3Com, HP can not only expand its Ethernet switching
offerings, add routing solutions, but also significantly
