DEFINITION:

The initials WIC stand for Wan I nterface Card. WICs are high-speed modules that provide connectivitiy to a Wide Area Network (WAN). WICs slide into expansion slots that are inside of routers. WICs provide multifunction support for LAN to LAN routing, multiplexed voice and data, and packetized voice.
